Overview

Video Production Estimator is a no-account app for commercial production estimates. It processes job requests to create Low, Base, and High working estimates, cost breakdowns, and scope assumptions.

Information Processed

• Submitted job requests, producer notes, and the contents of emails or messages you choose to provide.
• Files submitted for text extraction, extracted text, generated scope and estimate results, and saved run history.
• A random per-install identifier linked to saved runs and credit balances.
• Apple transaction identifiers, product identifiers, signed purchase records, and credit grants, use, and refunds.
• We retain estimate-run activity, processing times, and technical error records linked to the request and installation identifier to operate the service, troubleshoot failures, and maintain performance.

File and AI Processing

The app asks for processing consent before submitting a request. Text recognition for screenshots and images happens on your device; the extracted text is then submitted to the hosted service. Other supported documents are uploaded to the service for text extraction.

Vercel hosts the service and its storage. OpenAI processes request text for the current estimate workflow. Anthropic is also named in the app's processing consent and supports other configured analysis routes. When the estimate review feature is enabled, TypeSafe AI reviews the submitted request text and extracted non-price scope for possible omissions, conflicts, or unsupported details. The review uses zero-data-retention routing through Vercel AI Gateway. Only submit content you are authorized to share with these services. Provider API keys remain on the backend, not in the Mac, iPhone, or iPad app.

Accounts and Tracking

This release does not create a Video Production Estimator account, profile or password. The installation identifier still links submitted content, results, and purchases to that installation. Apple processes credit purchases; the app does not collect card details. This release does not use third-party advertising tracking.

Data Controls

The service stores submitted requests and results so you can reopen saved estimates. Contact support for help accessing or deleting stored content. Deleting the app does not itself delete server-held content. Removing a saved estimate does not erase Apple purchase records or the credit ledger used to prevent duplicate redemption.
